Frontyard Ultra (29.8.2026)

A new race concept is organised for the first time in Finland: Frontyard Ultra in the Nummelanharju track. The event starts 29.8.2026 at 10:00 a.m. and ends when the last runner is left.

Rules

The runner must run within the time limit 3 km loop, whose start and finish are in the same place. All runners start at the same time. At the time of the start, the runner must be in the start/finish area.

After the start signal you must start a new loop: staying or turning around in the start/finish area is considered as an unfinished loop. If you complete a lap within the time limit, you will be allowed to start another lap. The remaining time before the new start can be used for rest and maintenance.

Your score is determined by the total number of laps you can complete within the time limit. The competition ends when no one can complete a lap within the time limit.

No assistance is allowed during the round. This includes assistance from other people and aids such as poles. You are obliged to help another runner in distress.Remember that the event is in a public place, so it is important to be considerate of other runners.

You are responsible for your own equipment. There is limited space for your own things, but you can bring a blanket and a deckchair, for example. The Tarmonmaja hut is in use but due to the nature of the event we recommend that you service outside. Service times are getting shorter as the event progresses so be prepared for quick service.

Tarmonmaja's sauna and showers will be available after the event. The organiser will provide energy and refreshments between the tours.

Differences vs. Backyard Ultra - with the concept

The difference between runners who do not finish the last lap within the time limit or decide not to continue is determined by the order in which they arrived at the finish area from the last lap to the finish line that was run within the time limit of the lap.

You have 30min for the first lap. With each new round, the time is reduced by one (1) minute (30, 29, 28, 27, 26, etc.).

See today timetable and map of the competition area.
